Go on an adventurous self guided expedition that will allow you to get in touch with nature through a canoe paddle on the Wisconsin River. This local operator will put you and your canoe in at the appropriate length on the river at Spring Green and the rest will be up to you. Enjoy your leisurely paddle down the river to your destination and make sure to stop on the way, this self guided adventure can take up to two days. Your journey will end when you arrive at the local town of Boscobel, where your car will be parked from your drive out.

This 60 mile paddling expedition usually takes around 20 hours of paddling time. Included in your comfort package will be overnight supplies enough for two travelers.

Go on an adventurous self guided expedition that will allow you to get in touch with nature through a canoe paddle on the Wisconsin River. This local operator will put you and your canoe in at your launch location after checking in at the Sauk City central offices. After a safety briefing and adventure instruction, you will be brought to the starting drop location on the Wisconsin River. Enjoy your leisurely paddle down the river to your destination and make sure to stop on the way, this self guided adventure can take multiple days.

Please be Aware: There's a nude beach seven miles into your trip that is located across from Ferry Bluff and is river left. You will be ticketed by the DNR if you stop at the beach by watercraft on a weekday. You may stop at the nude beach via watercraft if it is a weekend. There is no camping one mile up and one mile down river from the beach, period. There are usually small yellow signs posted on sandbars that are within the two mile stretch, but not necessarily visible due to vegetation or pranksters. You could be ticketed and will be asked to pull your camp and move on by the DNR regardless of the time of day/night. If you stay river right when you near Ferry Bluff you’ll most likely glide right by the beach and not even realize it’s there. This local operator sends around 3,000 people past the beach every year and have had no issues, but if you're looking to avoid the nude beach all together please consider pulling out at the Mazomaniee boat landing or paddling out of our Boscobel location (can be arranged after booking).

Please bring an extra set of car keys. While you're on the river the local operator will arrange to get your vehicle moved 60 miles down river to Boscobel. This way when you finish your trip your vehicle will be waiting for you and you can be on your way home that much quicker.

Your local tour operator will stay in touch with you while on the river and accommodate you rarrival time as best as possible. It is highly encouraged you to bring an extra set of keys for your vehicle, while you're on the river they will move your car from Sauk City 60 miles down river to Boscobel. At the conclusion of your trip they'll pick you up at Wyalusing Beach and shuttle you 31 miles up river to Boscobel and your car.

Explore the city of Madison in a whole new way on a walking food tour! Over this three hour experience sample classic Wisconsin cuisine at five different tasting locations while also learning about the city's amazing history, architecture and culture along the way. The tours are small groups with a maximum for 12 participants. The tour lasts 3 hours and includes an easy, 1.5 mile walk around the Capitol Square area of Madison.

There are restrooms and water available throughout the duration of the tour. Allergy and dietary restrictions can be accommodated for as well as strollers and wheelchairs. All tours have a professional guide that shares knowledge about the history of Madison and the creation of the food and beer samples that the guests have.

The tour begins at 12:00pm at the first tasting location, The Great Dane. Food and beer samples will be provided as guests learn about the history of the restaurant and bratwurst in Wisconsin. From there the group will casually walk towards the next tasting location, stopping to talk about 2 architectural points and the creation of Madison by James Doty. Once arriving at the second stop, Gotham Bagels, guests will sample and hear about the only NYC style bagel shop in Madison that has been family owned and operated since 2007.

Continuing on the walk around the Capitol Square area we stop to talk about the impressive Dane County Farmer's Market and the busting State Street, which is where the third and fourth tastings take place. Sampling Mackinac Island style fudge at Kilwins and deep fried cheese curds at Wisconsin Brewing Tap Haus. From there the tour hears the controversial story behind Madison's first skyscraper and takes a sneak peek inside the beautiful Capitol.

The tour ends at a swanky burger joint, DLUX, where the guests get to sample delicious milkshakes made from Wisconsin ice cream, the perfect end cap for a Wisconsin food tour.

The Middleton dinner tour begins at 6:00pm where the tour guide will welcome guests out front of the first tasting location, Louisianne's Etc. There the guests will enjoy one of the only fine Creole restaurants in the area for a drink, appetizers, and live piano music. Once the tour departs Louisianne's, they will make the short trek to the Village Green, a historic building in downtown Middleton, where guests get to sip on a very classic Wisconsin cocktail and learn about some of the most notable stories of Middleton's past. After Village Green, the tour will slip out the back door and over to the entree stop of the tour, The Freehouse Pub. Known for being "All Wisconsin, all the time" guests will enjoy a warm meal that uses locally-sourced meat and bread from family-run businesses in the area. Finally guests will make their last journey through downtown Middleton, stopping to talk about two notable buildings, then arriving at Hubbard Avenue Diner for the best part of any meal - dessert! Famous for their pie, Hubbard creates a special tasting specifically for our tour guests to sample while enjoying the fun 50's diner atmosphere that lights up downtown Middleton.

The food and drink provided on the tour is enough for a meal. The total walking distance is about half a mile over the course of the 2.5-hour tour. The tour ends about one block from where it began, and there is plenty of free street parking and parking lots available nearby. Both vegetarians and vegans are able to be accommodated on this tour. Tours operate rain or shine; in the event that it is raining, the tour guide will provide umbrellas for all guests who may need one. Tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance.
